My name is Genevieve Belmont. I live in rural Pennsylvania with my husband, our son, and two rambunctious guinea pigs. When I'm not typing away at the next story idea, you can find me curled on the couch reading and sipping on coffee.

My Story

I started writing at a very early age, but things really took off in the fourth grade. I had a teacher who recognized how much I enjoyed writing and encouraged me to pursue my passion by allowing me to incorporate storytelling into projects in class and by inviting me to a local young author's conference where I could meet other kids who were just as passionate about writing as I was.

All throughout my school years, writing was my escape. I liked to read, but writing my own stories, dictating my own outcomes, was what I really loved to do. I would share what I'd scribbled on torn-out notebook pages with friends between classes and was always spurred on by their excitement to find out what happened next.

When I reached adulthood, writing became a luxury that I squeezed into my busy schedule on an increasingly infrequent basis. I became a mom. I began to focus on other responsibilities. My notebooks and old Word docs started to collect dust. Abandoned.

Flash forward to just a few short years ago. I decided to reclaim what I'd lost and get back to what I knew I truly enjoyed: writing. I joined the Twitter writing community (where I later met my husband, fun fact) and started to form connections, friends who shared my passion for storytelling, who were all at varying points on the publishing journey. I started dedicating daily time to writing, setting word count goals, participating in prompt events. And I started to feel more alive again through it all.

I am so grateful to have rediscovered this passion of mine: putting words on the page. And I am so excited to finally have made the decision to take my journey into my own hands and release these stories into the world, where others (like you, perhaps) may read them and find in them some escape from the outside world, if only for a little while.
